Saturday, November 15th, 2008The last two weeks have been whirlwind. My trip out to NY last week went very well and the guests at Henri Bendel continue to be big fans of NELLE! I sold all but 4 pieces of my stock and upon my return home on Sunday had to get back on the sewing machine to create inventory for Maiden Minnesota - my thursday trunk show event.
Maiden went very well, it was nice to meet so many local Minnnesotans that are fans of NELLE! Luckily I was able to create enough stock to meet the demand. This means that I was finally able to relax a bit today and take care of things around the house - what a luxury!
I must admit that the holidays always keep me on my toes and sleep is a precious thing! With two trunk shows down, and two to go I am optimistic that my holiday season will be a good one - providing me enough revenue to keep me going thru the 1st quarter of 2009. Now it is off to bed for some much needed shut eye.

My Voting Experience - Get Yours!

I voted right away this morning and I couldn’t help but get a little choked up. Forget party affiliation for a second, forget the slander that has been tossed around by both parties and take a look at the beauty of the the occasion. As I stood in line for over an hour to cast my ballot I was overcome with emotion as an African America man walked out of the polling location with an enormous amount of pride spread across his face. I can only assume who he voted for, but my own judgement overcame me and I was gripped by the greatness of the moment for a majority of Americans. In this one moment I was overcome with love for our country, our citizens, and the the pioneering spirit that surges through all of us! As I walked away from the polling location tears rolled down my face, the right to vote is amazing.
