I just saw the Sex and The City movie - loved it! Anywho they mention Bag, Borrow, or Steal in the movie which reminded to let you all know that you can vote for your favorite Independent designer handbag on the site. Nelle is a finalist, so if my bag is your favorite I encourage you to vote.

Nelle is a Finalist! Independant Handbag Designer Awards
Monday, April 28th, 2008Imagine my surprise when I checked my voice mail this morning and discovered that my bag was selected as a top five finalist in the Handmade Handbag category of the 2008 Independent Handbag Design Awards. If my clutch wins its category my bag will be featured in a window display at Henri Bendel and I will be invited with the other 5 winners to hold a trunk show at the legendary department store. Every time I think about this my heart skips a beat, it has been a dream of mine to have my bags at the store - shriek! Breathe….
Above is the clutch that is up for the award, it is a part of my 2008 Nelle Day Collection which will be available on-line the second week of May. It is the only 100 percent fabric bag in the Handmade Handbag category, which is amazing!

I was so excited to hear that Nelle made the best of the Twin Cities list in the December issue of Minnesota Monthly. Thank you Elizabeth for taking notice of my handbags, I don’t think that I have ever read a better review of my work! Minnesota Monthly, a great Midwest publication, gave notice to my handbags in their September 2007 issue. I get filled with excitement each time a publication gives mention of my work, no mater how large or small the bit is. Every bit of press helps introduce my design’s to new audiences. This helps my business continue to grow and flourish as well as my client’s businesses, which is great for everyone! I can’t express enough to independent designers how important it is to gain exposure for your business, it really can make quit the difference during the slow months. More to come on this subject at a later date.
MN Bride Spring Summer 07
Tuesday, August 7th, 2007I got a little shout out from MN Bride, a Tiger Oak Publication in their Spring/ Summer issue. Featured here is my Nesting Clutch in wheat. I would have to say that the Nesting Clutch is one of my favorites and was given its name due to the lemon quartz and freshwater pearl embellishment looking much like a birds nest. So fitting that it has had huge success with the brides as they will soon be “nesting”. These great little silk charmeuse clutches are $60 a pop and come in a variety of different colors, I have been known to do custom colors brides as they make great bridesmaids gifts.
